I started my career working in a warehouse, then doing piecework in manufacturing.  I was promoted into Human Resources, finished my Master’s degree, and spent the next 20-plus years in Human Resources Management at both the plant and corporate levels.  I am past president of SHRM-Memphis, past co-chair of the TN SHRM State Conference, and was presented the TN SHRM Award of Excellence.  I started Management Recruiters of Cordova over 14 years ago; we have been in the President’s Club numerous times and last year we were again in the top 25% of MRINetwork offices.  Additionally, I have written numerous articles and books, including a Christian-oriented workbook on how to find a job.

I recruit differently from most recruiters because I have been on the ‘other’ side.  I used recruiters for 20+ years before I became one, so I know what companies are looking for from their search consultants.  Since I view the recruiting process from the employer’s perspective (i.e., would I hire this person?)  I don’t send questionable candidates – my reputation rides on the individuals I submit.  By being a business partner and learning what the company needs as well as wants, they listen more closely to my recommendations.

Confidentiality and ethics are very important to me.  I do not submit candidates without their permission and provide constructive feedback whenever possible.
